These
interface cards give your 3Com® NBX® premises-based
telephone systems the basic connections you need before
you can make your calls. They feature a range of options
for linking to the LAN and WAN.
The
Analog Connection Devices offer you the best of both worlds,
seamlessly bridging the gap between 3Com's next-generation
networked telephony solutions and traditional analog devices.
Easily connect analog phones, cordless phones, speakerphone
extensions, and other industry standard tip/ring (2500 set)
analog devices to your NBX solution. Group 3 fax machines
are also fully supported. Analog devices are available in
a single-port stand-alone
unit as well as a four-port chassis-based card. The single-port
ATA unit also includes an additional Ethernet port that
allows an analog device and an Ethernet device to share
the same Ethernet LAN cabling.

four Loop Start PSTN telephone lines to the NBX 100 via
RJ-11 interfaces; includes build-in Caller ID support
and built-in power failure transfer jack.

The NBX Analog Terminal Card connects
up to four analog devices (such as standard or cordless
phones, Group 3 fax machines, and external alert or bell
inputs on the external paging amplifiers) to the NBX 100

Terminates 1 analog tip/ring (2500 series compatible)
device, such as an analog phone, cordless phone, Group

3Com NBX Analog Adapter (3C10400)
The 3Com NBX Analog Terminal Adapter (ATA) 3C10400 is
a stand-alone unit with a single 10/100 Ethernet (FXS)
port. It allows an analog and an Ethernet device to share
the same Ethernet LAN cabling with the flexibility of
being powered by a local power supply or via an IEEE 802.3af-compliant
Power over Ethernet (PoE) power source. The ATA connects
to the 3Com SuperStack® 3 Switch 4400 PWR, 3Com IntelliJack™
switch, or any other PoE-compliant power source via an
RJ-45 Ethernet connector. **Requires

Gateway, you can replace your Norstar PBX Control Unit
with a 3Com NBX Telephony Solution while keeping the wiring
and Norstar telephones.
